Smack dab in the middle of Montana is the community of Lewistown, where the western way of life intersects with outdoor adventures and arts and culture. Lewistown is situated in the Judith Basin and surrounded by five mountain ranges—sprawling vistas and recreation opportunities abound. Locals and visitors enjoy fishing and hunting as well as hiking, biking, and more. Popular Lewistown events include the Montana Winter Fair, a Saturday farmers market, Shakespeare in the Park and multiple ghost towns. This vibrant little community is known as the City of Stone, boasting beautiful architecture originally constructed by the Croatian stone masons who first settled the area and well preserved today among Lewistown’s five historic districts.
