The day will begin with an indoor session before the hands-on outdoor workshop. Learn what to wear, essential gear for the trail and on your way to the trailhead, and how to stay safe in emergencies. We’ll work in small groups to build emergency snow shelters and start a fire in the snow. This course is suitable for all levels of backcountry skiers, cross-country skiers, snowshoe enthusiasts, winter hikers, snow bikers, and snowmobilers – in other words, anyone interested in outdoor adventures during the winter.
