Named for the area's natural mineral waters, Hot Springs is located on the western edge of the Flathead Indian Reservation. Years ago, the Pend d'Oreille Indians called the hot springs "big medicine" and relied on the healing powers of the springs. Today, Hot Springs draws visitors from around the world to its quaint community and healing waters.
If you're in town during the second weekend of June, be sure to check out the community's Homesteader's Days (in honor of the original homesteaders to the area) with events that include a street dance, art and crafts show and two-day rodeo.
