things to do in the spring
Western Montana’s winter wonderlands and heavenly summers are separated by quiet, undiscovered springs. While winters are abuzz with snow enthusiasts, springtime is when the landscape itself comes alive with rushing rivers from mountain runoff, meadows and hillsides awash with wildflowers, fertile green hues and emerging wildlife. The days get longer and the temperatures begin to warm up. And because we make adventure a priority in every season, this one’s no exception. We ski well into the spring here—surfing the soft snow and celebrating a winter well-played. Spring is also the only time you can bike Glacier National Park’s jaw-dropping Going-to-the-Sun Road before it opens to vehicular traffic. Ready to tee up? Our golf courses thaw out in the spring too. Take advantage of shoulder season pricing and head to Glacier National Park when our open spaces are wide open and waiting.
Dive into the season with our exclusive "Spring Seven" list—a treasure trove of must-do experiences that prove spring in Montana is the perfect time to visit.
