The Confluence Center (Western Montana's Home for Nonprofit Events) art program Torrents is thrilled to present a magical evening of art and community! This month we proudly present A Sense of Place, a solo exhibit by Meghan Hanson.

Meghan Hanson is an architect and artist creating within the intermountain west and sharing time between the Bitterroot Valley of Montana & Teton Valley Idaho. Meg has a passion for creating art. Most often this is through wood murals and painting, but is also a successful architect and illustration artist with her business’ Natural Dwellings Architecture and Hanson Illustration.

This exhibit will showcase the full range of Hanson’s artistic abilities from her reclaimed wood landscapes, to acrylic and watercolors. Each piece adeptly conveys her love of nature and architecture, as well as illustrating her belief that taking time to experience a place through creating art helps her to know the place, as well as document it in a unique way to remember and share with others.

The opening will take place First Friday, September 6th at the Confluence Center at 119 W Main St, Missoula, MT, and runs 5-8pm. Free snacks and drinks provided, plus visit the Deli Arepas food truck out back for refreshments. The exhibit will remain on display through September 27th, and can be seen by appointment through the Center: 406-926-6526
