Description:

The Christmas Stroll is the official kickoff to the Holiday Season in Whitefish. Live holiday music, visits with Santa, impromptu Christmas caroling, tree lighting ceremonies, arts & craft vendors, food trucks, s'mores on an open fire ... you get the idea!

Christmas Stroll 2024 is set for Friday, December 13th. The Christmas Stroll has been a long-standing community tradition in Whitefish, Montana. Holiday music, photos with Santa, caroling, tree lighting ceremony, & street artisans and food vendors.

Below is a tentative schedule based on 2023

Pre-stroll: 5pm....Alpine Bell Ringers Hand bell Choir Concert followed by Harp Music and The North Valley Music School Christmas Recital~ First Presbyterian Church

6pm... The Flathead Valley Community College Vocal Jazz and Chorale Ensemble ~ Outside O'Shaughnessy Center / Depot Park

6:15pm..... Tree Lighting Ceremony & Menorah Lighting with the Whitefish Chamber of Commerce and our sponsor, Stockman Bank ~ Outside O’Shaughnessy Center/Depot Park

6:30pm....Santa Arrives via Bar W Guest Ranch Wagon ~ Outside O’Shaughnessy Center/Depot Park and is Santa led down Central To Huck's Place by the Alpine Theatre Project Elves for Selfies with Santa

7pm... The Vocal FVCC Ensemble ~ South of the Whitefish Winter Carnival Float (1st and Central)

7:10pm... Dance Performance by Whitefish & Bigfork Dance (South of 3rd on Central)

8pm... The Vocal FVCC Ensemble ~ Between 2nd and 3rd Street on Central

8:15pm...Merie Productions presents Ross Bridgemand, Halladay Quist, and Meredith Patterson with a selection from their "Winter Wonderland" show on the Whitefish Winter Carnival Float

7:45 - 8:30pm... Whitefish Chamber of Commerce Shoppers' Drawing Winners Announced

Throughout the Evening...

• Wagon rides by Bar W Guest Ranch
• Warm up at fire pits at various locations on Central Ave
• Create your own ornament at Stumptown Art Studio & just outside, vote for your favorite at The Great Whitefish Gingerbread Contest (made possible by Century 21 Deaton & Co benefiting Housing Whitefish)
• Feat by Feet tap it up outside The Bull Dog Saloon
• Vendors selling great crafts and delicious food
• Entertainment and photos with Buddy the Elf at Blackstar
• Turkey Bowling with Two Sparrows Chiropractic and prizes from Pin n’ Cue
• Birdland Jazz Combo playing a holiday set at FORLOH
• Stores dressed in their holiday finest - many w/refreshments
• Christmas Shoppers' Registration (Drawing)
• Visit the Whitefish Winter Carnival Float & Royalty
• Meet a Gentle Giant from Clydesdale Outpost
• Dance Elements performances outside Sappari
• Explore the SnowBike Nation “Bat Cave”
• S'more roasting with Compass Chiropractic
• Opening Night of Whitefish Theatre Company’s “A Christmas Carol”
