Description:

Join us in celebrating the 48th anniversary of the Bigfork Festival of the Arts! This annual event draws artists from far and wide showcasing art, crafts, food, and music. Downtown Bigfork is filled with an incredible selection of art and crafts on display, showcasing the incredible talents of both established and emerging artists. From paintings and sculptures to handcrafted jewelry and pottery, the variety of art is second to none.

But the Bigfork Festival of the Arts isn’t just about the visiting artists! It also about celebrating and supporting the businesses that line Electric Avenue. While enjoying the Festival of the Arts, be sure to browse the downtown shops and galleries that Bigfork is known for. There will be live musical performances both days, along with the Flathead Valley’s favorite food trucks.

The festival’s history dates back to May 1978 when the idea of the Bigfork Festival of the Arts was first proposed during a conversation on Electric Ave. Within months, the inaugural festival took place on the first weekend of August, defying expectations with its success. The overwhelmingly positive feedback from the community solidified its place as an annual event.

Over the years, the festival has flourished, growing steadily in size and reputation. In 2005, the Bigfork Area Chamber of Commerce took the reins, ensuring its continued success. Today, the festival boasts over 150 booths, featuring a diverse array of arts and crafts crafted by nationally and internationally recognized artists and artisans. Drawing in more than 6,000 attendees, the Bigfork Festival of the Arts has become a highlight of the summer season.

There will be free parking and shuttle from the Bigfork Rodeo Grounds at Highway 35 & 82 and limited handicap parking (decal required) at the UPS Store on Grand Avenue.
